Slovakia sent shockwaves throughout the globe following their 1-0 victory over title favourites Belgium in their first game of the campaign. The Falcons are the lowest-ranked team in their group but their actions at the tournament state otherwise. Ivan Schranz found the back of the net early in the game and became Slovakia’s hero as they pulled off the first upset of Euro 2024.

Next up, they will go up against Ukraine who come into the game after a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Romania last week. The Blue and Yellow looked clueless and were torn to shreds by a dominant Romanian side. They will look to pick themselves up in no time and get things back on track before it’s too late.

Martin Dubravka (Slovakia)

The keeper was the best player for Slovenia in their curtain-raiser against Belgium. He stood his ground and denied Belgium every time they tried to have a go at his goal. Martin Dubravka made three crucial saves inside the box, including a 1v1 save against Romelu Lukaku early in the game. Dubravka also came off his line to neutralize the danger as and when required.

Mykhaylo Mudryk (Ukraine)

The Chelsea forward was the only silver lining for Ukraine in their disappointing 3-0 defeat to Romania. He was a livewire on the pitch and caused a lot of problems for Romania through the left flank. Mudryk had the most number of touches in the opposition box (7). He also took two shots from inside the box while making three successful dribbles and winning nine duels.
