Son Heung-min set for Tottenham exit; Saudi Pro League clubs interested: Report

The skipper won the Europa League trophy this season with Spurs.
Son Heung-min, a legend of Tottenham Hotspur, is reportedly leaving the team. In what can be his last game, the Spurs captain won the Europa League. Son has played 454 games and scored 173 goals over his eleven years in north London.
Tottenham are hoping to cash in on him before his contract expires around this time next year. So it looks like his time is up.
According to The Telegraph, a sale would increase their summer transfer budget and help pay for changes in the team. Saudi Pro League clubs are interested in signing the South Korean winger.
According to the Chiefs, he is a “recognisable world star” who might help the Saudi league expand in Asia. Son Heung-min was a target for the Saudis, according to an exclusive report. In January, Tottenham had activated a one-year contract extension for the 32-year-old.
However, as the club have not yet decided who will manage them for the upcoming season, Son’s destiny may be on hold for the time being.
By the 32-year-old’s normal standards, the season was frustrating as Spurs fell further down the Premier League standings under Ange Postecoglou.
The Lilywhites captain may be set to follow the manager out of the door, as the Australian’s career is already uncertain in north London.
After coming from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, the winger has undoubtedly been the N17 team’s best acquisition of the contemporary era.
The former Hamburg player has now made more than 450 appearances in white. With the triumph in Bilbao, his time may be coming to an end.
Daniel Levy and company may try to cash in on the South Korean in preparation for the next season after a lacklustre domestic campaign.
In light of this, The Telegraph revealed on June 3 that Son might be sold by Tottenham Hotspur as the team looks to raise money to revamp their roster.
Saudi Arabia’s long-standing interest in the forward could be rekindled before the summer window closes, given he only has one year left on his current contract.
