Top four South American players with most goals in Manchester United history

Only a handful of South American players have made an impact at United.
Manchester United have never been scared to seek further afield in their quest for Premier League glory, although many British players have been crucial to their success.
While Dutchman Robin van Persie was the cornerstone of United’s final league triumph under Alex Ferguson, French attacker Eric Cantona and Danish goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel contributed to the team’s first championship under the Scot in 1993.
But the team has also brought in some outstanding South American players over the years. Some of whom have had greater success than others; they have set new records and taken United to much success.
South American players with the most goals in Manchester United history
4. Casemiro: 22

Less than two weeks have passed since Casemiro revealed that he will be leaving in the summer. The timing was intended to free the Brazilian midfielder from constant rumours about his future so he could concentrate on the current games. It’s getting harder to ignore the fact that he will soon be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
With his header, he has been one of their best set-piece threats this season. He now has five goals for the season after his header against the Cottagers. With two more, he would equal Real Madrid’s historic season high from 2020–2021.
Meanwhile, he is already one of the best South American players at the club. He has already joined the list of South American players with the most goals in Manchester United history.
3. Antonio Valencia: 25
It would be surprising to not see Antonio Valencia in the list. Given his versatility on the pitch, he scored goals when he was operating from the right wing. However, the South American star had to shift to a full-back role, but that didn’t stop him from losing his goalscoring instinct.
Although Valencia’s reputation at United declined over time, the Ecuadorian had been a devoted member of the team for almost ten years, making over 300 games. It includes a smooth transition from winger to full-back that you hardly notice.
2. Alejandro Garnacho: 27

It was believed that Alejandro Garnacho would reach the level that only Cristiano Ronaldo managed to achieve at United. The forward was seen as the next future prodigy of the club. However, that wasn’t the case as his inconsistent performance caused frustration among the fans.
The forward put the final nail in the coffin following his comments in United’s defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final. This resulted in the player’s departure. But he left with one major achievement, by becoming the second South American player with the most goals in the club’s history.
1. Carlos Tevez: 34
It’s difficult to look past Tevez, even though you would think there would be more competition for the top slot. Even though the former West Ham forward only stayed at Old Trafford for two seasons before ruining any goodwill by helping Man City win the league in 2012, he won two league titles and the Champions League in 2008.
In addition, he contributed to one of the team’s most destructive front lines and scored one of its most devastating goals—against his old team, no less.
