Real Madrid skipper Dani Carvajal has been left out of the squad by Luis de la Fuente.

This piece of information about Spain’s preliminary squad list has been met with disdain in Real Madrid circles. Luis de la Fuente’s roster does not include Real Madrid captain and one of their important figures, Dani Carvajal.

The national team coach has been compelled to forgo the full-back’s experience for the World Cup due to his recent injury and physical issues that have hindered him in the latter part of the season.

Even though the Madrid number “2” is missing, the national squad will still include players from Los Blancos. Among those chosen is Fran Garcia, who has proven to be a serious threat down the left flank under Alvaro Arbeloa.

The presence of the young players who stand for the club’s future is particularly noteworthy beside him. After deciding to play for Spain, centre-back Dean Huijsen, who came to bolster Madrid’s defence last summer, affirms his enormous international potential.

Meanwhile, many Barcelona faces have been named in the squad as Spain gear up as one of the favourites for the competition.

Ferran Torres, Pedri, Gavi, Fermin Lopez, Pau Cubarsi, and Lamine Yamal—all Barcelona players—have also been included in the team.
