La Roja will hope to qualify for the main competition this November.
The list of 26 players selected for the two pivotal 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches was made public today by Spain’s coach, Luis de la Fuente.
The final two games of the qualifiers will see Spain host Turkey in Seville and play Georgia in Tbilisi. The biggest news is the much-awaited return of two young players, Dean Huijsen and Lamine Yamal, who both missed the previous window because of various ailments.

The return of important veterans and a few new defensive players make the team noticeable. After recovering from an injury, talented FC Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal is back and available for the national team uniform, adding flair and speed to the assault.
In a similar vein, Dean Huijsen, a talented centre back whose presence consistently creates enthusiasm, returns to the team to bolster the defence for these pivotal games.
Pablo Fornals, a midfielder, returns to the team in addition to the above two players. Alongside well-known players like Mikel Merino, Martin Zubimendi, and Fabián Ruiz, the player, who has been playing well at his club lately, provides a flexible and experienced alternative for the midfield.
Spain’s goal going into this double matchday is to directly qualify for the World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Mexico, and Canada in 2026.
Georgia, a formidable opponent, will be the first obstacle. Next is the home match against Turkey. In order to continue leading their group E at the end of the qualifiers, the Spanish team will want to secure all six points.
