Spain vs Cape Verde: Full list of substitutes for FIFA World Cup 2026 clash

Both teams are facing each other for the first time at the FIFA World Cup.
The time for Spain’s opening clash of the FIFA World Cup 2026 has finally come. La Roja are ready to lock horns against World Cup debutants Cape Verde in the first match of Group H. Apart from these two sides, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay are also present in Group H.
The match will be played at the Atlanta Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Interestingly, the match is the first match to be played at the venue.
Currently on a ten-match unbeaten streak, La Roja would look forward to extending their run by one more match. Meanwhile, Cape Verde would be keen to score their first goal or secure their first-ever draw or victory in the summer competition.
The match is expected to be a thriller despite La Roja being the absolute favourites, courtesy of their FIFA ranking (#2) and status as the European champions.
Cape Verde are currently 69th in the FIFA rankings. Additionally, they are the third smallest country by population to qualify for the ongoing edition of the summer competition.
Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams might get a few minutes in the opening match, but Luis de la Fuente could also decide to keep his two star wingers on the bench completely.
