Exciting match to look forward to in the October international break

European Champions Spain will welcome Denmark in their third UEFA Nations League fixture. La Roja look unstoppable in their red-hot form and are the favourites coming into this game. La Roja began their campaign with a 0-0 draw against Serbia before wrapping up a 4-1 win over Switzerland despite being a man down. Luis De La Fuente’s men are undefeated in their last 12 outings coming into this game.

Denmark on the other hand have had a dream start to their campaign with two wins in two games. The Danes secured a 2-0 win over Switzerland before defeating Serbia. They are yet to concede a goal in this edition but will face their toughest test against defending champions La Roja. They sit at the top of the group with six points in hand.

Players to watch

Lamine Yamal (Spain)

The Barcelona wonderkid inspired Spain to European glory in the summer and hasn’t slowed down ever since. Yamal comes into the international break on the back of a series of mind-blowing performances for FC Barcelona. His unique blend of pace, creativity and vision make him one of the most dangerous players upfront. Moreover, he is regarded as the torch bearer for both FC Barcelona and La Roja.

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (Denmark)

Højbjerg has been Denmark’s best player in the Nations League so far. He has led his side from the front and has dropped in match-winning performances in the middle of the park. The 29-year-old is known for his contributions on either end of the pitch. His defensive prowess, tactical brilliance and ball distribution make him one of the best players that Denmark has ever produced.
