Spain's all-time record in UEFA EURO finals
Spain are looking for their fourth European Championships.
Spain are set to lock horns with England in the UEFA EURO 2024 final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on July 14, aiming to get their hands on the coveted international trophy.
La Roja finished the group stage as Group B table-toppers, beating the likes of defending champions Italy, Croatia, and Albania with an impeccable record of three wins, three clean sheets, nine points, and five goals scored.
During the decisive knockout stages, Fuente’s side registered a convincing 4-1 comeback win against tournament newbies Georgia in the round of 16. This was followed by a thrilling 2-1 win against hosts Germany in extra time, courtesy of super sub Mikel Merino’s last-ditch winner, in an exhilarating quarterfinal clash between the two top nations.

In the semifinal stage, Luis de la Fuente’s side toppled Didier Deschamps’ France with a 2-1 comeback win, thanks to quick-fire goals from Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo, booking their place in the grand finale of Euro 2024.
Throughout the competition’s history, both Spain and Germany have been the joint most successful nations, with an incredible three Euro titles each.
Over the 16 editions of the European Championships so far, La Roja have made it to an impressive four finals (1964, 1984, 2008, 2012) with a remarkable winning track record of 75%.
La Roja’s first-ever Euro title came during their debut campaign in 1964, when they beat the Soviet Union 2-1 in an intense final, courtesy of goals from Marcelino Martínez and Chus Pereda. Spain was also the host nation for Euro 1964.
However, they suffered a disappointing loss in their second final appearance during Euro 1984. Hosts France claimed the first of their two European Championships as they defeated Spain 2-0 in the final, courtesy of second-half goals from the legendary Michel Platini and Bruno Bellone.
La Roja’s last two appearances in the Euro finals proved to be extremely fruitful, as they won two successive European Championships in 2008 and 2012. In Euro 2008, Spain beat Germany 1-0 in the final through Fernando Torres’ winner, whereas in Euro 2012, they dismantled Italy 4-0 in the final, courtesy of goals from David Silva, Jordi Alba, Fernando Torres, and Juan Mata.
Luis de la Fuente’s Spain has their eyes set on the Euro 2024 trophy as they hope to topple England in the final and clinch a record fourth title in this competition.
