Switzerland vs Italy: All-time head-to-head record | Euro 2024

The Azzurri won only one of their group matches.

The first match of the Euro 2024 knockout rounds takes place in Berlin on Saturday between Switzerland and Italy.

The Swiss were on the verge of shocking the host nation Germany and winning their group. Ultimately, they drew their previous game.

The runners-up from Group A were destined to face Italy who finished second in Group B. After Murat Yakin’s team were forced to settle for a point against Germany, they ended up finishing second in Group A.

In Italy’s final group game, Croatia were seemingly running away with a victory thanks to Luka Modrić’s goal in the 55 minute. A late stoppage-time goal by Mattia Zaccagn allowed the Azzurri to salvage a point and ensure a second-place finish in Group B at Euro 2024.

After this Switzerland vs Italy Round of 16 clash, host nation Germany will collide against Denmark.
