List of teams qualified for Champions League 2024-25 knockout stage

The top eight teams will earn a direct place in the last 16.
Six full match weeks into the new UEFA Champions League format, the table has been updated to reflect each team’s possible final position.
Teams now know how they stack up against the rest of the sides thanks to the new competition format, which includes a complete league-phase table. However, figuring out the qualifying possibilities is a far more difficult task under the current model than it was in the previous group-stage format, where teams merely needed to finish over two other clubs in a four-team group.
Big teams like Liverpool and Barcelona are poised to advance with ease since they have established themselves in a solid qualifying position thus far. Others, like Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain, are surprisingly uncertain about their chances of making it to the knockout stage.
With their own impressive achievements, less well-known teams like Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, Aston Villa, and AS Monaco have caused a hiccup in the proceedings and left the top teams baffled.
Fans will be unfamiliar with the knockout qualification method for the 2024–2025 UEFA Champions League season.
In place of the previous group stage, the European competition now uses a “Swiss Model” that includes a league phase with a full 36-team table.
From there, qualifying is easy: clubs that place in the top eight advance straight to the Round of 16, avoiding the playoffs. Teams in positions nine through 24 will receive seeding in a draw and advance to the knockout-stage playoffs, which are two-leg matches that determine the last eight teams for the Round of 16.
