As Real Madrid prepare for the season’s final Clasico against Barcelona on Sunday, they will be aware that a win will virtually put an end to the LaLiga title battle. Due to two starters experiencing minor niggles, their preparations have been significantly hampered.

Dani Carvajal did not show up for training on Friday, but Marca stated that he returned to the team on Saturday. Instead, Ferland Mendy was not present due to muscular stress, which may have affected his suitability for El Clasico. If healthy, he would be a sure starter, but Fran Garcia might now be counted on.

Thibaut Courtois’s attendance during Real Madrid’s training session was another first. It was anticipated that the Belgian custodian would not play again until the preseason after suffering his second knee injury of the year last month.
