Star striker set to undergo surgery.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has revealed that Dominic Solanke has undergone surgery to address an ankle issue that had been bothering him for the past two months.

Solanke sustained the injury in a friendly match against Reading under new manager Thomas Frank and missed the whole of the preseason.

The England striker, who cost £65 million, made three cameos from the bench but hasn’t started a game this season and hasn’t featured in over a month. Tottenham Hotspur attempted to cure it at first with injections and rest, but this did not work.

“It’s a small procedure, so that will mean he is not ready for today of course and of course Leeds (on Saturday) as well. We’ll have more news about a timeframe after the international break, but I don’t expect it to be long.”
