Spurs are enduring one of the worst seasons of their history.

With Tottenham Hotspur now sitting in 16th place in the Premier League and only five points above the relegation zone, Thomas Frank is in a very precarious situation.

Thomas Frank’s chances of being in the dugout next season are decreasing due to Spurs’ difficulties this season, unless he can turn things around in the upcoming weeks.

In light of this, we have evaluated the five most well-known managers whose contracts expire this summer according to their likelihood of taking over as Tottenham Hotspur’s manager in the near future.

Best possible replacement for Thomas Frank

5. Ernesto Valverde

In 2021, Valverde was linked to Tottenham, but the deal never went through. The 62-year-old’s contract with Athletic Club expires at the end of the current campaign. It is presently unknown if he will sign a new one.

Although we would really love to see Valverde in England, his lack of Premier League experience perhaps hurts him in this ranking. Despite a few setbacks in Europe, he won two league titles with Barcelona and, considering the circumstances of his tenure, performed a respectable job overall.

When everything is taken into account, he has also performed admirably with Athletic Bilbao since rejoining the team, transforming them into a top-four contender.

4. Marco Silva

Silva was on Tottenham Hotspur’s shortlist of potential candidates before Thomas Frank was hired. The 48-year-old has done a fantastic job at Fulham, constantly pushing them for a top-half finish despite the limited resources at his disposal.

Although we believe a few names are ahead of him at this point, he will undoubtedly be considered again when his contract at Craven Cottage expires this summer.

3. Oliver Glasner

With Crystal Palace, the 51-year-old has done an amazing job leading the team to Europe and taking home two titles.

Although his spells at Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt raised some concerns about his reputation, his recent success at Crystal Palace has restored confidence. We could definitely see him on the shortlist to succeed Frank.

2. Andoni Iraola

In recent years, Spurs have strayed more and more from “The Tottenham Way,” but Iraola has the potential to restore it. It’s no secret that he has been connected to the position before, and his high-energy attacking style of game would undoubtedly be popular in North London.

Although Bournemouth‘s difficulties this season may have hurt his reputation, a decline looked all but inevitable considering that he has lost the core of his team in the last 12 months.

Iraola appears to be the most suitable manager for Spurs among the Premier League managers whose contracts expire this summer.

1. Mauricio Pochettino

Never turn back, they advise, but what have Tottenham got to lose now? Spurs have gone from being Champions League finalists and Premier League contenders to mid-table fodder after splitting from one another.

Mauricio Pochettino has also performed admirably with PSG, Chelsea, and now the United States, but he has never connected with any of those teams like Tottenham.

Maricio Pochettino is among the popular figures who almost led the club to a league title before losing to Leicester City and the Champions League final in 2019.

Which manager has previously managed Tottenham in this list?

Mauricio Pochettino.

Where do Tottenham stand in the table?

They are 16th in the table.
