The CONMEBOL Copa América famously known as Copa América is the top-flight football tournament amongst national teams from South and North America. The tournament kicks off from a group stage with 4 groups of 4 teams each which then proceeds to a knockout phase. The defending champions are Argentina having beaten Brazil 1-0 in the 2021 Copa América final.

International tournaments can become a great source for scouting talented players. The Copa América has its own plethora of rising stars. Young talented players from Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and many more nations are ready to make a name for themselves in the Copa América. Earlier, the likes of players such as Lionel Messi, Angél Di Maria, Neymar Jr, and many more have performed well and made a name for themselves in the Copa América.

Let’s take a look at the top 5 youngsters to watch out for at the Copa América 2024.

5. Kendry Pàez (Ecuador)

The Chelsea-bound sensation has overcome every challenge he has faced and is set to join Chelsea when he turns 18. The winger is Ecuador’s youngest player ever in the senior national team. This alone speaks a lot about his immense talent and attacking abilities which can help Ecuador in the Copa América.

At club level, Pàez has scored 6 goals and has 5 assists in 18 appearances in Serie A Primera Etapa and Libertadores for his team Independiente del Valle.

4. Sávio (Brazil)

One of the main driving forces behind Girona FC’s historic qualification to the UEFA Champions League. Sávio is one of Brazil’s new gems and is already making a name for himself in Spain’s best league and one of the best leagues in the world which is La Liga. Sávio has scored 10 goals and has 11 assists in 37 La Liga appearances for Girona FC. Overall, he has amassed 12 goals and 11 assists in 41 appearances for Girona FC across all competitions.

The Brazilian winger has already made his national team debut against England. Sávio has already showcased his abilities in Spain and the Copa América 2024 can be a great opportunity to display his attacking abilities.

3. Yunus Musah (USA)

The 21-year-old had a lot of national teams to choose from and to represent. Yunus could have represented Ghana, Italy, or even England but chose the USMNT. Yunus made his senior team debut in 2020. Musah is not a typical modern winger and is rather comfortable operating on the right flank of a three-man midfield. Musah plays more like a traditional winger and is very good at winning balls from opposition players, carrying the ball forward, and reading the game well.

Musah is one of the most experienced youngsters in the team being only 21 years old and already having 36 caps for the USMNT.

2. Alejandro Garnacho (Argentina)

Manchester United have had more injuries than any other team in the Premier League for the 2023-2024 season. Throughout this injury-ridden season, Alejandro Garnacho has emerged and established himself as one of the best players in the league. Garnacho made his senior team debut for Manchester United back in 2022 and is now a starting XI player because of his breakthrough performances in the 2023-2024 season.

Alejandro Garnacho is a relentless machine and his work-rate is unreal. Off the ball, Garnacho works very hard to win the ball and to put pressure on the opposition players. On the ball, his excellent close control and ability to use his pace to beat defenders grabs him a goal or an assist or create a goalscoring chance. Garnacho is usually at his best when on the left wing and can be a great option for Argentina.

1. Endrick

The absence of Gabriel Jesus left a spot open for a centre forward and Endrick is going to settle in nicely. The Real Madrid bound sensation has scored quite often for Palmeiras in the Série A and is a very clinical centre-forward.

Endrick has already made his senior team debut for Brazil and has scored in all three of their friendlies. The latest of his goals includes coming on as a substitute and scoring a 96th minute winner against Mexico in a friendly match. Endrick is definitely a star to look forward to as he can be Brazil’s clinical goalscoring machine.
