Top four youngest scorers in Euro & FIFA World Cup history

In international football, a small group of teenage players have made history as the youngest goal scorers in the European Championship (EURO) and FIFA World Cup. These young athletes have shown remarkable skill on the biggest stages of the sport, despite their age.

The current record holder for the youngest scorer is just 16 years old, having netted a goal in a recent EURO tournament. This achievement broke a record that had stood for over six decades. The previous record was set by a player who was 17 years old when he scored in a World Cup match.

Two other players, both 18 years old at the time of their goals, complete this elite group. One scored in the very first World Cup in 1930, while the other found the net in the most recent World Cup in 2022.

4. Gavi (18 years and 110 days)
