The Englishman has been a regular for the Toffees
Everton faces a significant fight to maintain outstanding players Jarrad Branthwaite and Amadou Onana, with insiders giving the very latest news on the Manchester United and Chelsea objectives.
Everton are hard at work getting ready for summer, but unlike their table-topping rivals, they have to consider two scenarios because their Premier League standing is seriously jeopardised.
But one thing is certain: regardless of the league they play in, they will have to fight to keep their best players. The best teams in England and elsewhere are particularly interested in talents like Branthwaite and Onana. When the summer window opens, sources are optimistic that the two will make moves.
The best clubs in the world are seriously interested in both players, and it will be difficult for them to pass up the chance to compete in the biggest tournaments in the game.
Although Manchester United are a huge fan of Branthwaite, they find it difficult to accept the minimum £70 million asking price. The Red Devils are finding other defensive targets, like Jean-Clair Todibo of OGC Nice, far more appealing.

But Man Utd are by no means the only team that thinks highly of Branthwaite; insiders have indicated that Bayern Munich have also had a cursory glance. Meanwhile, Ange Postecoglou recommended the Englishman to his Tottenham Hotspur managers.
Everton are using Wesley Fofana’s £75 million move to emphasise the centre-back’s high worth because they think Branthwaite is just as good as the Chelsea defender and has room to become much more.
Branthwaite might be followed out of Everton by Amadou Onana. The midfielder Onana has long piqued interest. In fact, people who knew the guy well were taken aback when he decided to sign with Everton in the summer of 2022.
The Belgian international has long been a favourite of Barcelona, who have made it known that they would like to bring him to Camp Nou. He’s been added to Chelsea’s roster as well, and he fits the London team’s recruitment style perfectly.
