Preview: Tottenham Hotspur vs Leeds United prediction, odds, where to watch, time | Premier League 2025-26

Spurs are fighting to stay in the Premier League.

Two clubs moving in completely different directions meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday night. The mood around this fixture couldn’t be more polarised. Spurs, who finally climbed out of the bottom three after a massive 2-1 win at Aston Villa, come into this one hunting for their third straight victory under Roberto De Zerbi.

Those back-to-back wins did more than pad the table; they’ve injected belief into a dressing room that has spent most of the year looking over its shoulder at the EFL Championship. Daniel Farke’s Leeds United, meanwhile, are flying. They’ve banked 11 points from their last five outings and are still buzzing from that stunning result against Manchester United at Old Trafford in April.

Leeds might actually have Premier League safety wrapped up before they even kick off if West Ham trip up against Arsenal on Sunday. If that happens, Farke’s men could arrive in North London with the pressure off, or, if the Hammers pull off a shock, needing one more big result to be sure.

Spurs don’t have the luxury of waiting. Sitting 17th with 37 points and a -9 goal difference, they need to be the aggressors on Monday. A win here would put them four points clear of West Ham with only two games left to play.

You can already see De Zerbi’s fingerprints on this team. His aggressive pressing and attacking philosophy has given Spurs a clear identity for the first time in months, and the squad seems to be buying in.

But don’t expect Leeds to just roll over, regardless of their mid-table safety. Farke isn’t the type to let his players clock out early. This has all the makings of a proper battle, no matter what Sunday’s results look like.

Leeds United: W-L-D-W-W

Key Players to Watch:

Richarlison (Tottenham Hotspur)

Richarlison has put up 10 goals and four assists this season, holding a 6.84 FotMob average. The Brazilian is the engine of the Spurs’ attack right now, using his movement and aerial strength to cause chaos. With Dominic Solanke out, the scoring weight is squarely on Richarlison’s shoulders.

In a game Spurs simply have to win, he’s comfortably the most vital player on the pitch for the hosts.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Leeds United)

Calvert-Lewin has been a revelation since joining on a free, netting 12 goals with a 6.81 FotMob rating. He’s outperforming strikers who cost five times as much. His physicality is going to be a massive headache for Spurs’ makeshift centre-back pairing.

He remains the focal point of everything Leeds does on the break.

Match Facts:

  • Spurs scored just five goals in their last five matches.
  • Tottenham won all three home Premier League meetings with Leeds, scoring nine goals.
  • Leeds have not drawn any of their last eight meetings with Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Leeds United Betting Tips and Odds:

  • Tottenham to win: 1.64 (Winmatch)
  • Total goals over 2.5: 1.57 (1Win)

Injuries and Team News:

Tottenham are limp-walking into this one with a thin squad. Guglielmo Vicario is out with a groin issue until mid-May, so Antonín Kinsky stays in goal. Both Cristian Romero and Wilson Odobert are done for the season, while Xavi Simons is facing a long road back from a cruciate injury that keeps him out until 2027.

Dejan Kulusevski (knee) and Ben Davies (ankle) are also sidelined until late May. Solanke is still out with a muscle tweak, though De Zerbi is hoping to have him back for the Chelsea clash. Mohammed Kudus is a long-term absentee with a muscle injury.

Leeds have a few misses of their own. Gabriel Gudmundsson is dealing with a hamstring problem, but the real blow is to Ilia Gruev. The midfielder’s season is over after a meniscus injury in training, leaving a hole in the centre of the park until at least July.

Head-to-Head Stats:

  • Total matches: 104
  • Spurs wins: 42
  • Leeds wins: 33
  • Draws: 29

Predicted Starting Lineups:

Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Starting Lineup (4-2-3-1):

Antonín Kinsky; Pedro Porro, Kevin Danso, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie; João Palhinha, Rodrigo Bentancur; Randal Kolo Muani, Conor Gallagher, Mathys Tel; Richarlison

Leeds United Predicted Starting Lineup (3-5-2):

Karl Darlow; Joe Rodon, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw; Jayden Bogle, Anton Stach, Ethan Ampadu, Ao Tanaka, James Justin; Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Daniel James

Match Prediction

Tottenham are the ones playing with their lives on the line, and De Zerbi has finally found some rhythm after months of mess. They’ve put together two wins in a row for the first time since August and look much harder to beat.

Leeds are well-drilled, but they might struggle to match the intensity of a desperate Spurs side if their own survival is already settled. Look for Richarlison to find joy behind the Leeds line as Spurs dictate the tempo at home.

Predicted Scoreline: Tottenham Hotspur 2–1 Leeds United
