Trent Alexander-Arnold not expected to sign new contract with Liverpool: Report

Real Madrid are interested in signing the Redsā right-back.
Liverpool fans would be in for big news if this turns out to be true as reports from Spain say that Trent Alexander-Arnold is not expected to sign a new contract with the Premier League giants.
The right-back is in his last year of the deal and the Reds are yet to start talks with the England international over the renewal of the deal.
Under Arne Slot, Alexander-Arnold has been impressive and has played an integral part in helping Liverpool maintain their place at the top of the Premier League.
The full-back has already attracted interest from many clubs with Real Madrid appearing to be a likely destination for the player if he fails to extend his deal with Liverpool.
However, losing him for free will be a massive blow for the Reds given how much influence the player has in Slotās side during attack with his creative play.
Alexander-Arnold isnāt the only one whose contract is set to expire after the end of the season. Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salahās deals will also end following the conclusion of the campaign.
Liverpoolās board will have to make a quick decision if they plan to keep all three at Anfield for more seasons otherwise they will need to start looking for replacements.
However, among them, Alexander Arnold will be a massive blow given how the full-back has grown into the most influential player. The 26-year-old is currently injured after suffering an injury in their win against Aston Villa.
Following the scans, the player is revealed to have suffered a hamstring problem and is expected to be sidelined for a good number of days. However, it is understood that he will be available for their UEFA Champions League game against Real Madrid and later in the Premier League clash against Manchester City.
Slotās team will return to action against Southampton when the club football resumes. Although Alexander-Arnold could be fit for the game, Slot might avoid risking the player, as he also has a strong alternative in Conor Bradley.
