Tunisia starting lineup vs Netherlands confirmed for FIFA World Cup 2026 match

Tunisia’s time in North America has been upsetting. In their opening game, they clashed against Sweden and suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat. Four different players scored against the Eagles of Carthage, and after the defeat, Sabri Lamouchi was immediately sacked.

The Tunisian football delegation later signed French tactician Hervé Renard to replace Lamouchi. However, his appointment did not go well for the Eagles of Carthage, as they suffered another one-sided defeat at the hands of Asian giants Japan. Tunisia have conceded nine goals in two games, and they would be keen to put an end to conceding.

In their last game of the group stage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, they will face the current group leader, the Netherlands. The game will be played at the Kansas City Stadium in Missouri on Thursday, June 25.

The Eagles of Carthage are already out of the summer competition; however, if they manage to play a draw or defeat Ronald Koeman’s men, they will directly help Japan secure the first option in Group H.

Thoughts on the lineup

Mastouri will be the frontman for Tunisia, while Gharbi and Hannibal Mejbri will be the creative engine of the team. Yan Valery and Ali Abdi will be on the wings, while Ellyes Skhiri and Ali Abdi will support the framework while controlling the tempo.

Montassar Talbi and Aymen Rekik will be the pillars in the defence, while Aymen Dahmen will keep the gloves. Hervé Renard has decided to keep the side with minimal changes; however, it remains to be seen what the result will be.
