The tournament kicks off on 14th June

The UEFA European Football Championship famously known as the Euros is set to take place in June 2024. The Euros are played by national teams in the continent of Europe. 24 teams are placed in groups of 6 which then proceed to a knockout format. Italy are the previous champions having beaten England on penalties in the finals.

The 2024 edition is set to provide lots of entertainment with a plethora of top European teams. One of the most exciting groups is Group B with the likes of Spain, Croatia, Italy and underdogs Albania. Another exciting group is Poland, Netherlands, Austria and France in group D. Overall, the tournament has a lot of strong teams alongside underdog teams who can shock us.

Playing for your national team is a feeling of pride and honour but being the captain is an extraordinary feeling. A captain is always looked upto by fans and especially teammates. The captain is the one responsible to lead the team on the pitch, maintain high spirits and boost the morale of the team.

One of the most famous examples of a strong and influential captain is Carles Puyol. A captain can single-handedly help his team get back to their resilient winning spirit and stay calm and composed throughout matches.
