Ukraine predicted lineup for UEFA Euro 2024
The Blue and Yellow have the talent to make their mark at the Euro.
The current team of Ukraine seems like a golden generation in their history that on their day can beat any opponent. The Blue and Yellow made it to the final tournament the long way after defeating Iceland in the playoffs to qualify for the Euro 2024 this summer.
The likes of Artem Dovbyk, Viktor Tsyhankov and Mykhailo Mudryk are expected to lead the Ukraine team in this tournament. They have shown their potential as a team. Many times they look threatening with their attacks. Ukraine are drawn in Group E alongside Belgium, Romania and Slovakia.
They will face Slovakia in the opening match at the Merkur Spiel-Arena. They remain favourites along with Belgium to progress from the group. Head coach Serhiy Rebrov’s lineup at the Euro 2024 could be as such:
Ukraine predicted lineup (Formation: 4-3-2-1):
GK: Andriy Lunin
Andriy Lunin had a fantastic season with Real Madrid winning LaLiga and the Champions League. He was outstanding in knockout matches where he helped the team win the penalty shootout against Manchester City.
Lunin is adept at one-to-one situations as strikers often struggle to score against him. The 25-year-old has worked on his weaknesses to become a complete goalkeeper this year. He made 21 appearances for the Los Blancos this term keeping ten clean sheets in the league which is among the finest in the tournament.
RB: Yukhym Konoplya
Yukhym Konoplya plays as a right-back for Shakhtar Donetsk where he made 21 appearances this term. Konoplya is known for his work ethic and ability to perform his role in both halves excellently.
He has plenty of experience after making his first appearance in October 2020. Since then he has made 14 appearances and scored one goal for the national team. He will now aim to play his part for Ukraine, in their search for the first trophy.
CB: Illia Zabarnyi
Illia Zabarnyi has had a fantastic season for Bournemouth where he flourished under Andoni Iraola’s leadership. Iraola seems to have brought the full potential out of him. Zabarnyi is an excellent defender who wins aerial duels and is equally proficient with the ball at his feet.
He is just 21 years old but has already made over 36 appearances for the team scoring one goal. He started his tenure in the team with Under 17 then progressed to the Under 21 side where his performance particularly caught the eye. In October 2020, he was handed his first cap for the Ukraine team.
CB: Mykola Matviyenko
Mykola Matviyenko currently plays club football for Shakhtar Donetsk with whom he made 23 appearances this completed season. In those matches, he scored three goals, mostly from set-pieces. His performance at the heart of the defence has already seen him linked to several clubs, who have been impressed by his ball-playing abilities and excellent distribution.
His experience of playing at the back for the team will only help his fellow Ukraine national team centre-backs release their nerves in the competition.

LB: Vitaliy Mykolenko
Vitaliy Mykolenko plays club football for Everton where he has made over 86 appearances for the team scoring three goals. He is one of the most underrated left-backs who doesn’t get the plaudits he deserves for the way he carries the ball forward as well as providing dangerous crosses into the box.
He has always been a reliable defender for the Ukraine national team putting in consistent performances. Mykolenko has already made 41 appearances for the team scoring one goal.
CM: Oleksandr Zinchenko
Oleksandr Zinchenko is the most experienced player in the team who has played for some of the most successful teams in Europe. This includes time at PSV, Manchester City and now Arsenal. He is the leader of the team, who leads by example, giving his all for the team whenever they need him.
Zinchenko has already made over 63 appearances for the Ukraine national team scoring nine goals. His technical abilities on the ball allow him to perform in a central position even though he usually plays as a left-back.
CM: Volodymyr Brazhko
Volodymyr Brazhko plays club football for Dynamo Kyiv where he has become a mainstay of the team. Regarding his defensive duties, he does an excellent job of protecting and helping his defence. However, his attacking part of the game is still very underrated having netted six goals in 26 appearances while also providing three assists.
These stats are incredible for a defensive midfielder who has just debuted for the national team this year. So far he has made four appearances for the team and will aim to increase this tally going forward in Euro.
RW: Viktor Tsygankov
Viktor Tsygankov had an outstanding season at Girona. He along with his national teammate Dovbyk helped the team secure Champions League football for the first time in their history. He looked dangerous from the right wing after netting eight goals and providing seven assists.
Tsygankov has already made over 53 appearances for the national team scoring 13 goals in the process. He is a technically gifted player who has the vision and ability to make the correct pass at the right time.
AM: Georgiy Sudakov
Georgiv Sudakov had a fantastic season for Shakhtar Donetsk where he made 23 appearances for the team. He helped the team win the league. Sudakov scored six goals in these matches while assisting twice.
The player is already linked with a number of top clubs who reportedly have scouted him multiple times during the season. Sudakov primarily plays as an attacking midfielder but is equally adept at central midfield, a win-win situation for Ukraine.
LW: Mykhaylo Mudryk
Mykhaylo Mudryk currently plays club football for Chelsea where he netted five goals in 31 appearances while also providing two assists. He showed flashes of brilliance for the team but couldn’t establish himself consistently in the team.
However, he has been a regular for the national team after making his debut in May 2022. Since then, he has made over 21 appearances scoring two goals. He remains a vital player for Sergiy Rebrov as the coach trusts him.
ST: Artem Dovbyk
Artem Dovbyk had a phenomenal season for Girona, helping the team secure Champions League football for the first time in their history. He also finished the season as the top scorer in LaLiga, leaving Jude Bellingham and Robert Lewandowski behind.
Dovbyk has turned into a complete striker who can score all kinds of goals. This season he has scored 24 goals for the team in 39 appearances while also contributing 10 assists. He will be one of the forwards to watch in the competition from the Ukraine side.
