Uruguay vs Brazil: All-time head-to-head record | Copa America 2024

Two behemoths of South America meet in the quarterfinals of Copa America 2024.
This will be the most exciting match of the competition as both South American juggernauts take on each other and are set to fight for the last four places of the event. Uruguay under Marcelo Bielsa have been smooth sailing, winning all their group matches. Meanwhile, Brazil secured a victory and finished second in their group and now will face one of the biggest tests of the event.
Uruguay are hoping to become South American champions for the first time since 2011. They have won as many as 15 Copa America titles. In three of the last four Copa America competitions, La Celeste have advanced to the quarterfinals. However, each time, they have lost to Chile (2015), Peru (2019), and Colombia (2021).
Uruguay can be confident about success on Sunday, though, as they proved they have what it takes to go far this year when they defeated Brazil 2-0 in their most recent competitive match in the 2026 World Cup qualifying process in October of last year.
While Brazil haven’t lost since Dorival Júnior took over as head coach in January, they have drawn four of their last seven international games. They’ll be eager to find their rhythm again as they try to make it to the Copa America semifinals for the third consecutive event.
Brazil hopes to improve on their 2021 Copa America final defeat and win a tenth South American championship this year, but first, they must prove themselves against a strong Uruguayan team, whom they have defeated nine times in their last 13 meetings in all competitions.
