Uruguay vs Brazil Predicted lineup, betting tips, odds, injury news, H2H, telecast | Copa America 2024
Can the Selecao knock high-flying La Celeste out?
Two of South America’s absolute best will face off against each other in the quarter-finals of the Copa America. Fifteen time champions Uruguay will take on their arch-rivals and nine-time champions Brazil in Las Vegas for a place in the final four. La Celeste come into this game on the back of a perfect group stage round with three wins in three games against Panama, Bolivia and hosts USA.
Brazil on the other hand have had an ordinary campaign so far. They undelivered during the group stages and finished second in their group behind Colombia with just five points to their name. The Selecao will look to capitalize on their offensive strengths and break Uruguay’s no-nonsense backline but will need to keep a check on the opposition’s quick and smart transitions.

Players to watch
Federico Valverde (Uruguay)
The Uruguayan skipper has led his side from the front and has helped them get three wins in three games so far in the tournament. Valverde has played a prominent role in the middle of the park for his side with his top-notch passing and playmaking abilities. The Real Madrid man is engaged on either end of the pitch. Moreover, he has also scored a goal at the tournament.
Raphinha (Brazil)
The FC Barcelona forward hit the ground running with an excellent free-kick goal against Colombia in Brazil’s final group-stage fixture. Raphinha will need to fill in the shoes of Vinicius Junior who will miss the game due to a suspension. His position, playmaking and attacking instincts make him an obvious threat for any opposition. Moreover, the attacker has an excellent record against Uruguay having scored twice against them in 2021.
