Mauricio Pochettino's USMNT announce squad for March international break; Gio Reyna returns

USMNT will face Panama in the semi-final of the competition.
In the CONCACAF Nations League championship this month, U.S. men’s national team manager Mauricio Pochettino will rely on a group of dependable veterans. The reigning champions will seek to gain momentum just over a year before the World Cup after Pochettino named the USMNT squad.
With 16 players who already participated in the Nations League Finals, Pochettino played it safe when he took over in September following the United States’ humbling early elimination from the Copa America on home soil.
When they face their semifinal match against Panama on March 20, veteran members of the national team, such as attacker Christian Pulisic and midfielder Weston McKennie, will look to regain the trust of the supporters.
“This is a massive opportunity to win a trophy, and that is our clear objective,” Pochettino said in a statement. “We must continue to show our quality, our bravery and our commitment to each other.”
The 2022 U.S. Soccer men’s player of the year, Tyler Adams, a midfielder who hasn’t appeared for the national team since the Copa due to back and hamstring problems, will be seen for the first time by the former manager of Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Paris St. Germain at the USMNT camp that starts on March 16.
Amid an injury-plagued season in Germany, Gio Reyna, a 22-year-old midfielder for Borussia Dortmund who notably battled with previous U.S. coach Gregg Berhalter, will also make a comeback to the national team.
