USA are searching their first Copa America title.

With the 2024 Copa America just around the corner, a team to watch out for this edition is the young, exciting, and talented squad of the United States. Led by their young captain, Tyler Adams, the hosts possess the potential to cause major upsets through their exciting brand of football under coach Gregg Berhalter.

All 26 players named to the Copa America squad were included in the June training camp roster for the Summer Showdown, building a core of young talent with a sprinkle of seasoned experience. The team has been inconsistent in recent times and will look to fix that trend going into such a big tournament in front of their home fans.

The draw has been favorable for the United States, placing them alongside Panama and Bolivia, with Uruguay being the only major obstacle. This allows Gregg Berhalter to execute an attacking plan with his dynamic roster, helping them build confidence as they face the possibility of locking horns with elite opposition in the knockout stages.

With the team likely to shape up in a traditional 4-3-3 setup, the onus of the attacking department falls on the prolific duo of Christian Pulisic and Florian Balogun. Pulisic enjoyed a strong debut campaign at AC Milan, recording 16 goals and 10 assists.

The midfield battle will be led by captain Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie, who will look to guard the backline, integrate the press, and transition the play from defense to attack. The defensive line, with Matt Turner in goal, will be commanded by veteran Tim Ream, who has consistently delivered great performances in crucial games for the national team over the years.

With a tactical coach and a promising squad, the United States will look to perform well and advance deep into the competition. Through cohesive hard work, fan support, and some tournament luck, the United States could become the biggest surprise package of Copa America 2024. The USMNT opens Group C action against Bolivia on Sunday, June 24.
