The White Wolves will hold a three-week training camp in Tashkent.

An enlarged squad has assembled for a three-week training camp in Tashkent from May 6–26, also marking the beginning of Uzbekistan‘s FIFA World Cup 2026 preparations.

For the camp at the National Football Centre, head coach Fabio Cannavaro has selected 40 players. The team will play a series of friendly games against domestic Super League teams behind closed doors.

Uzbekistan is led by captain Eldor Shomurodov, top defender Abdukodir Khusanov, midfielder Otabek Shukurov, and fellow striker Abbosbek Fayzullaev. After their club obligations were over, they joined their teammates in the Uzbek capital.

Nodir Abdurazzakov, a 21-year-old forward, and Sherzod Esanov, a highly regarded midfielder, are two of the uncapped players vying for a spot on Cannavaro’s final 26-man roster, which will be revealed by FIFA on June 2.

The Italian strategist has identified a number of players, particularly forwards, who are presently recovering from injuries, namely Jaloliddin Masharipov and Khusain Norchaev.

In their first-ever World Cup match, Uzbekistan will play Colombia in Mexico City on June 17 to begin their Group K campaign. Six days later, they will travel to Houston to play Portugal, and on June 27, they will play the Congo DR in Atlanta.
