Valencia vs Real Oviedo Preview, prediction, lineups, betting tips & odds | LaLiga 2025-26

The Black and Whites will take on the Blues on matchday 7 of LaLiga.
Valencia, under the leadership of Carlos Corberan, started their season decently, and will be quite satisfied with their results in the league so far. They will host the newly promoted side, Real Oviedo, on Tuesday as both teams will be aiming to get three points from this match.
From six league matches so far, they have won twice, drawn twice and lost twice. With eight points on the table, they are sitting in the 11th spot. They did suffer one of the biggest defeats to Barcelona recently, but have bounced back quite well, as they beat Bilbao and drew against Espanyol.
Corberan will be satisfied with his team’s performance so far, and will be hopeful of winning the home against Oviedo.
On the other hand, things are a bit complicated for Real Oviedo, as they find themselves in the 18th position in the league. Real Oviedo are struggling to adapt in LaLiga as they haven’t been able to get good results in their last few fixtures. In six league games, they won only one match and lost all five other games.
With three points on the board, they are placed in the bottom spot. Performance-wise, they can do well on the pitch, but somehow they are struggling to score and keep clean sheets. They will have to be at their best against Valencia to at least get a point.

Players to Watch
Mouctar Diakhaby (Valencia)
The Guinea international has been part of Valencia for the last seven seasons and has been an integral player for them. Carlos Corberan fully trusts him, and he is solid at the back. Diakhaby is 6ft 4 tall, and due to his physicality, he can win most of the duels.
Although he sometimes makes rash tackles on the pitch, most of the time, due to his long legs, he can recover the ball. Injuries have hurt him in the past, but right now, he is perfectly fit and is a leader of the defensive line. In five games, he has scored once and has been on the receiving end of three yellow cards.
Salomon Rondon (Real Oviedo)
The Venezuelan striker made a surprising move to LaLiga after many years. He has joined Real Oviedo on a loan from Mexican club Pachuca. Last season, he performed quite well for the Mexican outfit, which led him to join Oviedo.
His start hasn’t been good enough so far, as he has yet to score a goal for his new team. Despite all the challenges, he is good enough to make a difference on the pitch. Surely he will be confident going into this match.
