After sustaining an ankle injury during Sunday’s El Clásico defeat against Barcelona, Vinícius Júnior might miss Real Madrid’s next match.

In Sunday’s El Clásico, Barcelona defeated rival Real Madrid 4-3, bringing them one step closer to winning LaLiga. Star winger Vinicius Jr. suffered an ankle injury and had to be replaced in the 88th minute by Victor Munoz, further hurting Carlo Ancelotti’s team, whose hopes of winning the title now dwindle.

According to journalist Ruben Martin, the 24-year-old’s ankle injury revealed a Grade 2 sprain during the initial testing. Martin went on to say that the team’s matchday roster against Mallorca on Wednesday is unlikely to include the star player.
