Virgil van Dijk reveals Liverpool's Premier League title celebration plan if Arsenal lose to Palace

The Reds could win the Premier League title if Arsenal lose to Crystal Palace.

Liverpool are ready to host a Premier League title party. The Reds team is getting ready to gather for a midweek screening of Arsenal’s game against Crystal Palace.

During the weekend matches, Arne Slot’s team was unable to confirm their coronation because of the Gunners’ win against Ipswich.

However, they can be in for wild celebrations on Merseyside if Arsenal lose during Wednesday’s derby match against London rivals Crystal Palace.

Liverpool are not anticipated to receive the title crown unless they achieve their goal of winning against Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday. Nonetheless, preparations are being made for any scenario.

When the Reds last won the Premier League in 2020, similar scenes occurred. Club captain Virgil van Dijk has stated that everyone should gather to see Arsenal play:

“I expect Arsenal to win at home but, yeah, if it doesn’t happen then I think it would be nice to be together.

“So however that may look, we will discuss in the next couple of days. But if Arsenal just win that game, as they probably expect they will do against a very good Crystal Palace, then we have to do our job at the weekend.”

This will be the third time the Gunners could finish second in a title race. In the previous two seasons, the North Londoners have come second behind Manchester City on both occasions.

Liverpool are on the verge of tying Manchester United, their bitter rivals, with 20 Premier League titles. With Egyptian sensation Mohamed Salah and talismanic captain Van Dijk having signed new deals that will keep them at Anfield for the foreseeable future, they could return for more next season.

Slot delivering the title in his debut season as the Reds’ coach will raise more expectations for the upcoming season. The Dutch manager will hope to get more reinforcement to challenge for every trophy possible next campaign.
