Without their skipper and star forward Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nassr have landed in Goa, India for their forthcoming AFC Champions League 2 matchup against FC Goa at the Fatorda stadium on Wednesday, October 22.
Under the guidance of their coach, Jorge Jesus, the Saudi Arabian powerhouses touched down on Indian soil at midnight on Tuesday.
The rest of the team for the match against FC Goa was pictured at the airport, along with big names like Kingsley Coman, Sadio Mane, and Inigo Martinez.
Al Nassr encountered bad weather during their flight to Goa
Al-Nassr FC encountered bad weather during their flight to Goa and had to circle around five times before finally landing at the Manohar International Airport.
With victories in their first two games, Nassr are presently leading their group. To keep up their good play, they defeated FC Istikol 5-1 before defeating Al Zawraa 2-0 in Iraq.

Cristiano Ronaldo to miss clash vs Goa

The Indian side tried their hardest to get the Portuguese star to come to India; thus, Ronaldo’s decision to skip the match versus FC Goa was a huge letdown.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract reportedly contains a provision allowing him to skip games played outside of Saudi Arabia in order to manage his workload better. The experienced star has chosen not to make the long journey to India to focus on staying healthy for the World Cup next year.
Ronaldo wants to help Portugal lift the World Cup, a trophy that hasn’t been in his cabinet yet, and make a record-sixth appearance at the tournament. Ronaldo has bagged six goals and contributed two assists in seven in all competitions.
