West Ham United vs Celta Vigo Predicted lineup, betting tips, odds, injury news, H2H, telecast | Pre-Season Friendlies 2024
The Hammers host Celta Vigo for their first-ever encounter.
Despite an auspicious start to the 2023-24 Premier League campaign, West Ham United ultimately finished in a modest ninth place. Their season was marred by a series of erratic performances and untimely defeats. The club’s pre-season began on a promising note with a draw against Ferencváros, followed by a victory over Dag & Red.
However, their momentum faltered with back-to-back losses to Premier League rivals Wolverhampton and Crystal Palace. As they approach their next fixture, West Ham United will be keen to rekindle their winning form with a triumph over the Spanish side Celta Vigo at the London Stadium.
Celta Vigo, on the other hand, have enjoyed a commendable pre-season run. After a 13th-place finish in LaLiga last season, which saw them precariously close to the relegation zone, Celta Vigo are eager to make a statement in the upcoming season. Their pre-season efforts began with a 2-2 draw against Benfica, followed by a resounding 4-0 win over Vizela.
Subsequently, they won against Sporting Dijon and Gil Vicente. Although they stumbled in a 3-1 defeat to LOSC Lille, Celta Vigo quickly regained their footing with a win over Luton Town in their latest match.
Both teams possess the quality and capability to outshine the other, making this clash a one to watch. With their contrasting forms and aspirations, the match promises to be a thrilling spectacle, replete with exciting moments and potential goals. West Ham United will be desperate to restore their winning ways and dazzle their supporters at the London Stadium, while Celta Vigo will be resolute in their pursuit of victory against the London-based club.
