What is the meaning of Real Madrid’s famous tagline ‘Hala Madrid’?

Los Blancos are serial winners both in Spain and Europe.
What does it mean, when you hear ‘Hala Madrid’ in games and it’s a tag that goes with tweets?
Real Madrid supporters enjoy creating catchy songs and chants to motivate their side, just like supporters of any other football club in the world. Yet, at times, only a few words will do. They are, in this instance: ‘Hala Madrid!’
Regarding the Spanish powerhouses, the expression is ubiquitous. On match days, it reverberates throughout the Santiago Bernabeu. It functions as a customary chant on social media and even appears in the name of the team publication.
In addition, it served as the title of the 2017 original Real Madrid documentary series.
The Spanish expression “Hala Madrid” means “Go Madrid,” “Forward Madrid” or “Come on, Madrid.” Fans of Real Madrid use it as an expression of encouragement and backing. For Los Blancos supporters, it serves as a sort of rallying cry and the players themselves use it often.
“Hala” means “come on” in Spanish, similar to “vamos,” which is also used to convey encouragement in a football context.
On Madrid’s official online channels, the hashtag #HalaMadrid is widely used. The followers of the team use it as well while showing their support on Facebook, X and other social media platforms.
The year 2014 saw the release of this upbeat song ‘¡Hala Madrid!…y nada más’ in honour of La Decima, the event that marked Real Madrid’s 10th Champions League victory.
“It is the new Real Madrid song, I don’t want it to be an anthem, I want it to be a song that the whole world can sing,” RedOne said back in 2014.
“We have a song for the Decima and it’s incredible. We needed an easy song that people could sing quickly to support the team and that’s what we’ve done.”
