Argentina and Colombia will square off in Copa America 2024 final.

Argentina and Colombia will compete in the Copa América final. Besides the trophy both both nations will also be hoping to make exorbitant money CONMEBOL set to give to the winner.

Argentina recently defeated Canada 2-0 to secure the second consecutive final of Copa America, after winning the competition in 2021. In a thrilling match, Colombia defeated Uruguay 1-0 to advance to the final.

Each side receives US$ 2 million from CONMEBOL only for participating in the world’s oldest national team competition. The economic prize will grow as they move on in the round.

What the prize money for the Copa America final winner?

A record $72 million in entry fees and awards will be awarded to teams in this competition; the winner will take home $16 million in the same currency.

Each of the 16 participants will earn a $2 million participation fee; the remaining $40 million will be available for prizes.

Over the last three years, the Argentine national team has amassed about $80 million in cash prizes. If they defeat Colombia in Sunday’s Copa América final at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, that amount might rise.

Since the “Scaloneta” won the Copa América in Brazil in 2021, they have had considerable financial advantages in addition to their successful cycle.

In those days, they made almost $14 million from their 1-0 triumph over Brazil in the Maracanã final: $10 million for taking first place, $2 million for competing, and another $2 million for making it past the group round and quarterfinals.
