Spain and England will face in final of Euro 2024.

When they take to the pitch at the Olympiastadion on Sunday, the players’ thoughts are probably not going to be focused on it, but Spain and England will be fighting for a sizable monetary reward in the UEFA Euro 2024 final.

A cheque for €8 million ($8.7 million) will be given to the winning side in this weekend’s trophy decider in Berlin, based on numbers issued in December by UEFA, the organization that oversees European football.

This is in addition to the cash prizes they have already won from the European Championship this summer. According to UEFA’s breakdown of the €331 million ($361 million) total prize budget for Euro 2024, teams advance through the competition and receive the following sums:

How much Spain or England will earn if they win Euro 2024?

Spain are still on track to receive the entire cash award of €28.25 million ($30.9 million) after winning all three of their Group B games. The Three Lions would get €27.5 million ($29.8 million) if they win the Henri Delaunay Cup on Sunday, as England drew two of their matches in Group C.

The prize money for Euro 2024, according to UEFA, is the same as for Euro 2020, which was postponed until summer 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Italy, who advanced from the group stage with a perfect record and defeated England on penalties for the trophy the final three years prior, took home the maximum prize money.

England are attempting to improve on their 2021 final agony by winning the men’s European Championship for the first time ever. By doing this, Gareth Southgate’s team would put an end to a drought of their major silverware.

The sole major tournament victory for the English men’s team to date came at the 1966 World Cup.

Spain are attempting to win a record-tying fourth continental championship. The European Championship was previously won by La Roja in 1964, 2008, and 2012. With three tournament victories under their belt, they are presently tied with Germany for the most decorated team in the Euros.
