The Guinean international has enjoyed a productive season with the Black and Yellow.
Serhou Guirassy’s season at Borussia Dortmund has been nothing but sensational. The striker has taken the club’s goalscoring onus and has found the back of the net 37 times in 47 matches in all competitions this season.
Moreover, he has also scored 13 goals in the UEFA Champions League and is tied with Raphinha as the top scorer in the competition despite Dortmund’s elimination.
His addition has added firepower to Dortmund’s attack this season. Given that this is his debut campaign with the German club, it makes his record even more impressive.
Despite the German club enduring a poor season, Serhou Guirassy has been at the top of his game. He will hope to lead them to a Champions League spot for next season.
Dortmund have blossomed under coach Niko Kovac following a difficult Bundesliga season that left supporters disillusioned. Even though his influence wasn’t immediate, the team is now demonstrating their strength.
Once seemed unattainable, BVB’s stunning 4-0 victory against Wolfsburg has moved them closer to Europe’s elite tournament.
Alongside Karim Adeyemi, Serhou Guirassy scored twice, contributing significantly to that triumph. Dortmund’s mood and position in the standings have both improved as a result of the outcome.
The striker believes that winning the next two league games against Holstein Kiel and Bayer Leverkusen is essential.
“A very important game. Of course, we also looked at the competition. We have a responsibility… I hope we finish this season with two more wins.”
He has been their in-form player, and his numbers speak for themselves. Now that the season is coming to a close, he will look to add more goals to his tally and end the season on a positive note.
He will be motivated to emulate a similar performance next season, as Dortmund will aim to fight for many trophies. Guirassy will act as a driving force in their bid to win silverware in the upcoming term.
