Throughout his lengthy and trophy-filled career, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 953 goals. Since 2013, his goal-scoring objectives have been pursued through the now-famous ‘Siuuu’ celebration.
Ronaldo performed the celebration for the first time during a preseason friendly match in August 2013, against Chelsea at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. With his feet wide apart and his arms extending at his sides, the former Real Madrid forward ran toward the corner flag after making a dashing run into the area and scoring a header.
Later, he added a spin in midair while his well-known name was emblazoned on the shirt’s back. The crowd now usually roars its legendary applause whenever he scores a goal. “Siuuu!”
How athletes have copied Ronaldo’s siuuu celebration

Ever since, athletes worldwide have been attempting to imitate it. It has been imitated by other football players. After scoring a touchdown in a College Football Playoff semifinal game on January 1, Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith performed the Siuuu.
Manel Kape, an MMA standout, did it following his victory at UFC Vegas 44. At one point, Nick Kyrgios and Carlos Alcaraz both took over the Australian Open tennis tournament by celebrating.
Even in golf, the Siuuu has been observed. During the 2021 Ryder Cup in Wisconsin’s Whistling Straits, Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia did it in the direction of the spectators.
