Manchester United to begin talks soon with Brentford to sign Bryan Mbeumo: Report

The Cameroon international finally made his long-awaited move to Old Trafford.

Manchester United have confirmed the much-awaited signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. Following months of pursuit, the club announced his acquisition in time for their pre-season tour to the USA.

Mbeumo has inked a five-year contract, with the option of a further 12 months. He is the club’s third signing, following the arrivals of forward Matheus Cunha and left-back Diego Leon.

During transfer talks, the Manchester club saw Brentford reject two offers for the forward. It was their third improved bid in the region of £65m, with £6m in add-ons, which was accepted last week.

Manchester United have surely landed an underrated forward. The man in question recorded 70 goals and registered 51 assists in 242 games for Brentford since joining in 2019 from French side Troyes.

However, his last season was his brilliant best with the Bees, registering 20 goals and seven assists in the Premier League – both career highs.

But when can fans see their new signing on the pitch? It is likely that he will travel with the squad for their USA tour.

When will Bryan Mbeumo make his debut for Manchester United?

Manager Rubem Amorim would want Mbeumo to integrate into his system quickly before the start of the season; hence, we can expect him to play in the club’s pre-season matches.

The Red Devils are scheduled to face West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton, in New York, Chicago and Atlanta, respectively. We anticipate Mbeumo to make his unofficial debut for the Premier League club against the Hammers on Sunday, 27 July.

The Cameroonian player will add his attacking attributes to the club’s forward line, which they lacked last season. He will form a tandem with fellow new signing Matheus Cunha next season as the club hope to return to winning ways and improve considerably in the Premier League standings.
