Where and how to watch Manchester City vs Celtic pre-season 2024 clash?

The Cityzens will officially kick start their USA pre-season tour against Scottish champions Celtic.
Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City are set to kick off their USA pre-season tour with an exciting opening match against Scottish giants Celtic. The two heavyweights are set to face each other at the Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill on July 24.
Just like several other Premier League clubs, Manchester City have also travelled to the United States for their pre-season tour. During this period, they are scheduled to play four friendly matches in order to prepare for the upcoming 2024–25 season.
In their buildup to the official pre-season tour, the Cityzens haven’t played a friendly fixture with any club so far, with manager Pep Guardiola not being a big fan of busy pre-season schedules.
The majority of the squad made their return for pre-season training on July 15, with players that participated in either the Euro 2024 or Copa America finals allowed more time off for vacation. The Sky Blues have announced a 27-man travelling squad for the USA tour, including the likes of Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, and Ederson.
Manchester City and Celtic haven’t faced each other much in recent years, with the two sides last meeting in competitive fixtures during the 2016–17 UEFA Champions League group stages. Both the group stage games ended in exciting 3-3 and 1-1 draws, respectively.
In addition, the Scottish champions were also the first team to deny Pep Guardiola a victory after the Spanish manager began his tenure at the Etihad Stadium with ten consecutive wins before a thrilling 3-3 stalemate at the Celtic Park.
Following the Celtic game, the Cityzens will face Italian giants AC Milan and Pep Guardiola’s former employers in the form of FC Barcelona. To conclude their USA pre-season tour, they will lock horns with Premier League rivals Chelsea in their final friendly match at the Ohio Stadium. Just a week following that, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will face Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United in the FA Community Shield.
On the other hand, Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic have already contested three pre-season friendlies: a 1-1 draw against Ayr United FC, a 6-4 win against Queens Park FC, and a 4-0 win against DC United (USA tour). Following the game against Manchester City, Celtic will play one last friendly fixture against Chelsea before the official start of their title defence in the Scottish Premiership.
