Where and how to watch UEFA Champions League 2024-25 in India?
The new season begins on 17 September.
UEFA Champions League football is back! 17 September will mark the beginning of the new season. Last season we saw Real Madrid take home the trophy. They are the 15-time record winners of Europe’s biggest football extravaganza.
The 2023-24 was the last of its kind as well. This season, 2024-25, we will no longer see teams divided in groups and facing opponents twice early on. The ‘league phase’ is a new way to begin the campaign. All 36 clubs are now in one big league table.
Each team will face eight different opponents, already decided by draws held a little more than two weeks ago. The results will be reflected in that one single league table only. This surely adds new flavour and spice to a competition which already boasts many followers.
Borussia Dortmund, who finished runners-up last season, will face the might of Real Madrid once again. But this time, it was in the early phase of the competition itself. The rest of the seven opponents for the German giants include Barcelona as well.
Why are we seeing such strong sides clash early on? Well, that was the ‘ultimate spice’ added to this new look format of the Champions League competition. No more fans need to wait for the knockout stages to experience edge-of-the-seat drama.
Where to watch the UEFA Champions League in India?
Indian fans are surely among the biggest followers of the competition. Expect them to be glued to their screens when Kylian Mbappe dazzles in the all-white Real Madrid kit in front of the 90,000-seater Santiago Bernabeu crowd, or when Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres makes scoring look easy.
If you are one of PSG, Dortmund, Arsenal, Juventus or any of the 36 club’s fans, we got you covered with the streaming & telecast details, in case you are in India.
TV telecast? Yes, many of us still prefer watching games on our beloved TV. One can tune into channels under the Sony Sports Network. To name a few: Sony Sports Ten 1, Sony Sports Ten 1 HD and Sony Sports Ten 2.
What about the online streaming? Well, one will only need a subscription to SonyLIV, and can easily live stream Champions League games from the choice of his/her device.
