According to the most recent data released by the UK Home Office, during the 2024–25 Premier League season, Manchester United supporters were the ones who were responsible for the most football-related arrests in England.
According to The Athletic, 121 arrests during the 10-month reporting period were connected to Old Trafford supporters, more than any other team in the top tier.

During the 2024–25 season, 1,932 arrests involving football were made in England and Wales across all regulated games. With 235 fewer instances reported, this represents an 11% drop from the previous season. The Red Devils were first on the list, followed by local rivals Manchester City (94 arrests) and West Ham United (77 arrests).
Aston Villa experienced one of the biggest changes, with a sharp increase in arrests. The Birmingham-based team saw their fans connected with 71 arrests, which is a significant rise from the 2023–24 season’s 26 incidents.
This spike shows the rising worries about supporter conduct at Villa Park. It puts them fifth overall, behind Chelsea, which had 76 arrests.
Which club received the most banning orders?
West Ham are still at the top in two related areas, although they are no longer in the lead in overall arrests. With 112 active football banning orders, the East London team has the most fans with such bans. During the season, 39 fresh banning orders were issued, which is the largest amount of any club.
Manchester United finished third with 28 banning orders against their fans during the 2024–25 season, followed by Chelsea with 31.
A total of 685 new banning orders were issued during the 2024–2025 season, which was a minor rise over the 683 that were issued the season before. As a result, there are currently 2,439 operational FBOs in England and Wales.
The UK’s policing minister, Dame Diana Johnson, applauded continued enforcement attempts to clean up the game in her comments on the yearly findings.
“Today’s statistics show that these efforts are paying off and strong action is being taken to stop violence and disorder from ruining football,” she said.
