Adidas has revealed Messi’s new boots that will worn by many other young players.
Ten top young players will be wearing the new Adidas Messi F50 ‘Triunfo Estelar’ boots. After leaving Nike in 2006, Messi has since served as the face of Adidas for a number of years.
The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner is featured prominently in advertisements and promotional materials and has a lifetime contract with the three-striped company.
On October 10, which is now known as Messi Day his new Adidas boots debuted and were named as new “Triunfo Estelar,” or “Star Triumph.” The boots were white with accents of purple, black, and brilliant yellow.
Messi’s name is printed on the cleats, which honour the Argentine legend’s unparalleled history and pay homage to a famous pair he wore in 2010.
Lionel Messi has already worn them on the field for Inter Miami and Argentina, but he has also approved the wearing of a few young players. Messi revealed the limited roster of players who will be wearing the boots on the field in a promotional film.
The team’s most well-known member is Barcelona and Spain sensation Lamine Yamal, with whom Messi was photographed as a baby. Yamal, who wears Messi’s old number 19 at Barcelona, recently signed a contract with Adidas.
Claudio Echeverri, a fellow countryman who signed a contract with Manchester City in January but is still on loan at River Plate, was also chosen by Messi. ‘Messi+10’ also featured two other City youths, Joel Ndala and Cavan Sullivan.
Ndala is presently at PSV Eindhoven on loan. Sullivan, 15, is the youngest player in MLS history, and according to his contract, he will join City when he reaches 18.
Other young stars who will also wear the boots are Kenan Yildiz of Juventus, Antonio Nusa and Assan Ouedraogo of RB Leipzig, and Eliesse Ben Seghir of Monaco. Messi also announced female prospects Jaedyn Shaw and Vicky Lopez, who will wear the cleats.
