The United States football team are taking on the Australia national football team for their second game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The interesting contest is taking place at the Seattle Stadium.

The contest started with the Mauricio Pochettino-led side attacking the Aussie defence with high pressing. They were indeed successful and took the lead after Cameron Burgess tapped the ball into his own net. It is also the seventh own goal of the mega tournament this year.

This put pressure on the Australian national football team early in the game. They tried to attack back, but the attempts were not good enough. The United States doubled the lead after a young Alex Freeman fired the ball with a sensational header into the back of the net.
