The teenager has been making waves in the La Masia academy.
Barcelona are one of the most dominant clubs in Europe, and what is more appealing about them is their academy. Since they founded their La Masia academy, they have gone on to produce many talented stars who have further solidified their position as the greatest ever.
From Lionel Messi to Xavi, Iniesta and now Lamine Yamal. The Blaugrana’s ability to produce such talented stars is what stands out for the club, and they will continue to do so.
Now, once again, there is a 13-year-old who is currently making waves for the Catalan academy and is now slowly drawing the attention of fans and media.
He has been wreaking havoc for the opposition defence, and as he continues to do so. In the upcoming years, he will likely get a nod to the first team if he continues with his current performance.
Who is Fode Diallo?
At Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy, 13-year-old football prodigy Fode Diallo is presently making headlines for his incredible achievements. Diallo, born in Sabadell, Spain, to Guinean parents, is considered one of the best young players in youth football and plays for Barcelona’s Alevín A (U13) team.
For Barcelona’s U13 team, Diallo has scored an incredible 96 goals in just 30 games, averaging over three goals per contest—an incredible accomplishment at any level.
He has more goals than other La Masia grads, such as Lamine Yamal, who scored 68 goals in 29 games at the same level, at this age. Diallo is a versatile attacker who mostly plays as a striker (number 9), but he can also play as a winger.
His unrelenting “shark mentality” has earned him parallels to Ferran Torres, the senior forward for Barcelona, in terms of both style and goal celebrations.
Because of his remarkable accomplishments and consistency, La Masia coaches frequently make fun of him as a “lab-made” talent while praising his technical skill, football IQ, and work ethic.
Diallo’s playing style
Diallo is a dynamic striker who plays well in wide positions but is naturally a centre-forward (number 9). He usually wears the number 7 shirt.
He is recognised for his strong physique, ability to “bully” opponents, and effective finishing within the box. His quick speed and deft off-ball movement, including dribbling and poise in one-on-one situations, are impressive.
His “shark mentality” and unrelenting drive are frequently compared to Ferran Torres by coaches and spectators, who also highlight his goal celebrations.
Fode Diallo is La Masia’s most promising prospect this season due to his exceptional goal-scoring record and all-around attacking ability. Even if his career is still in its early stages, his performances and stats have already distinguished him as one of the most promising young players in European football.
