Thelo Aasgaard was born on May 2, 2002 in Liverpool, England. He comes from a musical background where both his mother and father were pursuing it professionally. Even though most of his childhood was spent in the United Kingdom, he was eligible to represent Norway because of his father, Jonathan.

Aasgaard went on to wear Norwegian colours at the international level. He represented Norway at Under-16, Under-20 and Under-21. His first senior call-up was in March 2025.

He developed his playing style as a versatile midfielder. He can hold the ball well and contribute his side in the final third when needed. Thelo Aasgaard impressed with his performances on the field and is now representing the Vikings at the FIFA World Cup 2026. He has also scored his first goal at the grandest stage of them all and has become the youngest scorer for his side on the grandest stage of them all.

He started his youth career with Wigan Athletic in 2016. Initially, his development took some serious bummers due to his injuries. His performances were crucial on the field and helped him earn a scholarship before he signed his professional contract with Wigan in January 2021.

After spending some time here, Thelo Aasgaard completed a move to Luton Town in the Championship during January 2025. He impressed with performances on the pitch and soon after Scottish giants Rangers found him interesting and signed him in 2025. He is capable of operating as a No. 10, central midfielder or on the left wing.
