For their third and final group stage outing, the Norway national football team are locking horns with the France national football team in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Both of these nations have secured a berth in the round of 32. The Vikings came up with a win against Iraq in their opening game and then secured a comeback victory against Iraq in their second one.

On the other hand, the Didier Deschamps-led side took down Senegal in their first group stage game and then outplayed Iraq in their other. France are also one of the favourites alongside Spain and England to win the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The final group stage game is now to secure the top spot in Group I. Les Bleus are ahead with an early goal by Ousmane Dembélé in just the seventh minute of the game.

Moment of silence observed

Players, coaching staff and match officials observed a moment of silence ahead of the Norway vs France FIFA World Cup 2026 match. It was a tribute to the victims of the earthquake that recently struck Venezuela and shocked the world. A similar initiative also took place just before the Senegal vs Iraq fixture.

Many people lost their lives in Venezuela due to this tragedy. FIFA organised this tribute to honour those who lost their lives and to express solidarity with the families and communities affected by the disaster.

This edition of the FIFA World Cup is taking place in Canada, Mexico and the USA. A total of 1,248 players across 48 nations are battling for the prestigious title. It will take 104 games to decide which team deserves the World Cup crown now.
