Will Cristiano Ronaldo play tonight for Al-Nassr vs Al Ettifaq in Saudi Pro League game?

The Portuguese star was absent in Al-Nassr’s last match.

Al-Nassr host Al Ettifaq in matchday 21 of the Saudi Pro League tonight in an attempt to continue their unbeaten streak. With 44 points from 20 games, the Knights of Najd are currently third in the rankings after winning their previous five games in the first flight.

Al-Nassr are in scorching form going into today’s match. They last lost league points on January 17 when they drew 1-1 at Al-Taawoun.

After defeating Al Khaleej, Al Fateh, Al Raed, and Al Fayha, Stefano Pioli’s team went on to win 3-2 on their trip to Al-Ahli, extending their winning streak in the top division to five games.

Al-Nassr are now eight points behind the top-seeded Al-Ittihad, four points below second-place Al-Hilal, and tied on points with fourth-place Al Qadisiyah. This has seen the club’s title hopes come alive once again as they finally aim to end their championship drought this term.

Attacking skill has been the driving force behind the Big Yellow’s remarkable run. They have scored 18 goals in their previous seven league games, raising their total to 43 and placing them third in the division in terms of goals scored.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo play tonight?

Captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who leads the Golden Boot race with 16 goals in the league, will be hoping to get back on the scoreboard. Ronaldo missed the last match as he was rested for the league game. With enough rest and recovery done, he will be eager to get back on the pitch here.

The 40-year-old will be well-equipped to face Al-Ettifaq as he is enjoying prolific form this season and has contributed most of Al-Nassr’s goals, who are currently one of the best scoring teams in the league. With Al-Nassr back in the title race the Portuguese forward will hope to help them sustain their form and lead them to the Championship.

Ronaldo has only got his hands on one cup with Al-Nassr since joining them and he is certainly aware that is not enough for him given his trophy-laden career at previous clubs.
