The Portuguese star has not featured in the last three matches for his club.

Tonight, Al Fateh host Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr in matchday 22 of the ongoing Saudi Pro League 2025-26 at Al Fateh Club Stadium in Al Hofuf, Saudi Arabia, with kickoff set for 11:00 p.m. IST/ 05:30 p.m. GMT/ 12:30 p.m. ET/ 09:30 a.m. PT.

But the main focus will once again be on Cristiano Ronaldo, given that the star has been on strike and missed the last two league games for the club. He also missed the club’s 1-0 win midweek over Arkadag in the round of 16 of the AFC Champions League Two. He has been linked with a sensational return to his boyhood club, Sporting, over the last couple of days.

Despite Ronaldo’s absence in the league, Al Nassr have continued to perform and beaten Al Riyadh and Al Ittihad in the league. They currently are 3rd in the league table with 49 points but have one game in hand, while league leaders Al Hilal have 53 points in 21 matches so far this league term.

Ronaldo is yet to win a major trophy since joining the Saudi club in 2023, but with his side competing for two major trophies this time around, it will be very important for the Portuguese star to return in this crucial part of the season and once again show his class.

Despite missing the last few games, Cristiano Ronaldo has been ever-present in team training and is fully fit. Reports earlier this week suggest that he would be back in the starting lineup for tonight’s clash vs Al Fateh.

Now to confirm his return, he was pictured travelling alongside the team for the away Saudi Pro League fixture tonight. Given his dream of reaching 1000 career goals, he will be desperate to get among the goals and help his side earn another very important three points.

He currently has 17 goals and 1 assist to his name in 18 Saudi Pro League matches this term.
