Al-Nassr will play the last game of their season tonight.

In gameweek 34 of the Saudi Pro League, Al-Nassr travel to Al Fateh with the goal of reviving their ambitions of finishing in the top three by accumulating as many points as possible.

The hosts are already guaranteed a spot in the top division for another season, while the Big Yellow go into the final game of the season in fourth position with 67 points, one point below third-place Al Quadisiya and five behind second-place Al Hilal.

Stefan Pioli’s club is in an awkward position as only two more teams can guarantee their spot in the AFC Champions League with a top-flight finish, with the Jeddah team already holding the fourth spot.

Their 1-1 draw with Al Taawoun effectively put an end to any remaining hopes of qualification, even though Al-Nassr defeated Al Khaleej 2-0 at home, the result had no bearing on their position, and Al-Alami face the possibility of missing out on continental football entirely next season.

The Big Yellow’s campaign has fallen short of the expectations of their ardent supporters after coming second last term, prolonging their title drought to six consecutive seasons and marking the second full year without significant silverware since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival.

The Portuguese legend, who still leads the division in goals scored with 24 goals, made an effort to please supporters by apologising after his goal last time out after missing an earlier penalty.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo play tonight?

Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted in team training and looks set to play tonight. The striker has once again proved that age is just a number as he is set to win the SPL Golden Boot this season, as he currently leads the top scoring table in the league.

However, despite his impressive individual season, the former Real Madrid player is set to go another season trophyless as Al-Nassr once again endured a sub-par season and will end the campaign on a disappointing note.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo will play his last game of the season tonight and it will be interesting to see what will happen with his future at the club as his deal will expire in June.
