Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr will play their third AFC Champions League Two 2025-26 match tonight in Goa, India, against FC Goa and will look to make three wins in three matches
At Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, FC Goa will have a difficult time getting started in the competition. Manolo Marquez’s team has not won a game in the competition; while they have displayed moments of promise, their performance has been lacking.
Early squandered opportunities proved costly as FC Goa lost 0–2 to Al Zawraa SC in their home group opener to start their ACL2 campaign. Their second game, away to FC Istiklol in Dushanbe, followed a similar pattern: they were disciplined for extended periods of time but faltered at crucial times, losing by the same margin.
Under the leadership of Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, Al-Nassr have started their own ACL2 campaign strongly. The Saudi team put themselves firmly in charge of the group standings after defeating FC Istiklol 5–0 in their opening match and then Al Zawraa SC 2–0 in a fierce battle.
However, most of the eyes will be on legendary player Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been the club’s face since joining them. But will he play against them tonight?

Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will not play in tonight’s AFC Champions League Two group encounter between FC Goa and Al-Nassr FC of the Saudi Pro League. As the two teams get ready to face off at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, the Saudi team arrived in India without the former Manchester United player.
Ronaldo chose to skip the trip, despite the immense expectation that the Portuguese legend would accompany Al Nassr and make his first visit to India. Another prominent absence is Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozović, in addition to Ronaldo.
