The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) informed on Sunday that the Asian Champions League Elite games scheduled to take place in the Middle East on Monday and Tuesday have been postponed. This is due to the ongoing turmoil in the region.
Clubs from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar, together with teams from Saudi Arabia and Iran, were supposed to play four first-leg matches in the competition’s round of 16. However, these matches will now take place at a later time.
Al-Hilal were expected to face Al-Sadd in the round of 16 in the AFC Champions League Elite, with Benzema leading the attack. But the match has now been postponed. It remains to be seen when the competition matches in the area will resume.
